Van Montfoort, Riny MJ.: Jan 2, 1930 - Sep 23, 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing MJ (Riny) Van Montfoort September 23, 2015. She was born in the Netherlands January 2, 1930. Riny and Hank were proud to become Canadian Citizens shortly after their arrival to Canada in 1948. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years Hank in 1999 and her grandson Jeremy in 2013. She is survived by her 3 sons Hank (Jamie), Rene, Gordon, 5 grand-children and 5 great grand-children. We will all miss her very much. Riny was past President of the BC Dental Assistant Association, involved with the Kelowna Hospital Auxiliary, the Kelowna Regatta Women's Auxiliary and the Cottonwoods Gift shop. A special thanks to the staff at Village at Mill Creek for their compassionate care of our Mom. In lieu of flowers a donation to the KGH Hospital Foundation in her name would be appreciated. A celebration of life will held in her honor at the Kelowna Yacht Club on October 18 from 1 to 3pm.
