Perrie, Ronald George: June 30, 1939 - March 19, 2025 Ronald George Perrie passed away peacefully with family by his side at the age of 85 in Penticton, BC. He was sadly predeceased by his son, Robert George Perrie. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Carol Ann Perrie; his daughter, Cynthia Lee Perrie (Leroy); his grandson, Dallas George Perrie Middleton (Kendyl); and his cherished great-granddaughters, Leah Georgia Middleton and Alanna Rae Middleton. As a child, Ron had a passion for soccer and lacrosse. He loved spending time with his dad at Exhibition Park, where he developed a lifelong love for horse racing. That passion stayed with him into adulthood, and he proudly owned three racehorses over the years. In his teenage years, Ron developed a deep love for cars and became member #125 of the British Columbia Hot Rod Association. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and had a special bond with his beloved bird dog, Lady. He was also a proud member of the Canadian Kennel Club. Ron loved snow skiing, ice skating, and golfing, he made sure to create lasting family memories through vacations filled with camping, motorhome road trips, and exploration. A devoted sports fan, Ron especially loved cheering for the Vancouver Canucks and the BC Lions football club. His all-time favorite hockey player was the legendary Guy Lafleur, whose style and passion for the game he deeply admired. While living in Vancouver, Ron worked in the printing industry. After relocating to Penticton, he became a tax consultant and took pride in serving as Director for Area "F" with the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen. He was active in the GYRO Club and the Penticton Golf & Country Club. Ron and Carol shared a deep love of dancing and were well-known regulars at local dance halls. Ron will be remembered for his zest for life, his dedication to family, and his dry wit. His signature comeback-always delivered with a grin, "Yes, dear."
