PAGLIOCCHINI, Rosa Giuseppina (nee Bonanno): Was born in Spezzano Piccolo, a small town in Calabria, Italy February 15, 1934 and passed away October 23, 2016 at the age the age of 82 years. Rosa immigrated to Canada in 1952 at the age of 18. Both Rosa and Emilio first settled in the mining town of Fernie, BC and eventually settled in Summerland, BC in 1954. Rosa was a hardworking and industrious woman who held down 3 occupations at the same time for the majority of her adult life. These included being a co-owner of 3 orchards, working in the packing house industry for over 45 years and being an extraordinary wife and mother who was truly the matriarch of our family. Rosa is preceded in death by her husband Emilio. She is survived by brothers Eugenio (Maria) Bonanno and Guido (Alloque) Bonanno, sister Eva Bonanno Perri, sons Pietro (Linda) Pagliocchini and Jerry (Jacquie) Pagliocchini, grandchildren Emilio (Saddy) Pagliocchini, Christopher (Kelly) Pagliocchini, Kayla Pagliocchini, Marcus Pagliocchini and David Pagliocchini, and great grandchildren Carmella and Sloane Pagliocchini. Prayers will take place 7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2016 followed by Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2016 at Holy Child Catholic Church, 14010 Rosedale Ave., Summerland, BC with Celebrant Father Gerald Sekanga.
