Sam Yankovich Obituary

Yankovich, Sam (1938-2025): Sam Yankovich of Penticton, BC passed away at Moog & Friends Hospice on May 28, 2025 He was born in Gasnica, Bosnia in 1938 and at the age of 19, Sam left his homeland to follow his dreams in his new home in Canada. Sam had a great work ethic and was proud of the fact that, until he retired in 1999, he was never without a job. Sam was predeceased by his parents, siblings, and daughter Petra. He is survived by Verna who was his wife of 54 years, his son Michael, and grandchildren, Braeden, Maddie, Max, and Kenley. A memorial service will be held in Penticton in August, date to be determined.

We have so many wonderful memories of canasta nights and fun times at the lake. We admired Sam's furniture building talents and his unique use of resins. Beautiful!
