HODGINS, Sandra "Sandy" Ruth (Hamilton, Gracey): September 20, 1945 - October 10, 2015. Sandy died peacefully at Kelowna Hospice House after battling pancreatic cancer with courage, strength and her unfailing sense of humour. Beloved wife of 40 years to Clifton, daughter of the late Hectorine and Ralph Hamilton, devoted mother to Scott (Ardelle), Rob, Paul (Sue), adoring grandmother to Tye, Brynn, Max, Jack, Dawn, Jamie and great grandmother to Mateus and Zachary. Service to be held at Westbank United Church, Thursday, October 22, 1:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grandmothers for Africa, Hope for the Nations, Kelowna Hospice House, and Community Palliative Care Program. Condolences may be left by visiting www.hansonsfuneral.ca

Sandy will always be remembered as a wonderful and caring friend...we so enjoyed our time together in Lake Havasu with Sandy and Cliff.....our deepest sympathy to Cliff and family. You are in our prayers. Hugs and love from Gary and Julie

As a "Giggles and Hugs" volunteer, Sandy shared so much of her energy with the babies! She also gave the rest of us adults plenty of giggles with her unfailingly dry sense of humour. Sharing her stories of travels afar (with little more than an extra T shirt and spare panties) was a highlight for us. Sandy was just such a "Full of the joys of life" person........Thinking of Sandy always makes me smile.
