Sidney PERROTT Obituary

PERROTT, Sidney Rosser: (born April 25, 1936) Sid passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026, in his 90th year, surrounded by the love of his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Mari; his son Alan (Lisa) of Edmonton; his daughter Karen (Lou) Johnson and grandsons Jake and Max of Penticton; and his brother Howard (Ruth) of Perth, Australia. Sid was born and raised in Takapuna, New Zealand, to Howard and Mary Anne Perrott. After completing his Physiotherapy degree in 1957 in Dunedin, and 2 years of work in New Zealand, he moved to England in 1959. In 1964, he was recruited by a clinic in Regina, Saskatchewan, and immigrated to Canada. Shortly afterward, he met Mari, who was also a Physiotherapist, and their life together began. Sid and Mari married in 1967. After the birth of Karen, they moved west to Penticton in 1970. They opened the first private Physiotherapy clinic in the community. Alan was born here in 1971. They found Penticton and stayed forever. Sid lived a full and active life. He was a proud member of the Penticton Golf Club for 50 years. He and Mari travelled extensively, exploring the world together and forming many lasting friendships along the way. At home, Sid was an avid gardener, tending an extraordinary garden full of vegetables and fruit. He was also a skilled carpenter and handyman who could build or repair almost anything. He volunteered at many community events. He loved skiing and fishing, but above all, Sid treasured his family and friendships. He was a gentle, kind, loyal and generous man, a loving husband, dedicated father and cherished Grandad. He truly lived life to the fullest. Sid will be fondly remembered by his family and many friends. A Celebration of Sid's Life will be held on February 11, 2026, at 3:00 pm at the Penticton Golf and Country Club, 600 Comox Street, Penticton. All who knew and loved Sid are welcome to attend. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the exceptional staff at Village By The Station for their care and compassion in Sid's final months. Special thanks to the medical providers who supported Sid in his journey with Parkinson's. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sid's memory to the Penticton Regional Hospital. "Those we love never truly leave us; they live on in the precious memories we hold in our hearts."

Sending our condolence to Mari on the loss of Sid and to his children on the loss of a father. I got to know Sid when I visited his office for physiotherapy treatments and was very pleased with the service I receive. We had occasions where we would talk with Sid. We found him to be a very compassionate person, friendly and loyal person. Know now that he is no longer in pain and resting in peace. Know he will always be with you and when you are felling low, sit down and close your eyes and take a deep breath and think of all the happy times you spent together. Darlene & Gordon Sheehan
