MCLEOD, Stew: February 19, 1946 - November 4, 2025 It is with such sadness that we announce the death of George Stewart (Stew) Mcleod. Stew died suddenly at home surrounded by family. He left Pat, his wife of 54 years, son Ryan, daughter Lisa, and granddaughter Zhara (fiancé Jay). The Materi's will forever miss his wise council. Stew was predeceased by his father, Capt. Roderick McLeod and mother, Myra McLeod. His career, in the RCMP, spanned 31 years. Postings included North Vancouver (twice) Clinton, Prince Rupert, Inuvik, NWT and Penticton, where he and Pat retired. Stew had a passion for gardening, actually finding the perfect rocks or boulders for the yard was a lifetime goal. Going to the gym and golfing with his two Brothers of the Heart provided Stew so much enjoyment. His fascination with Everest and the mountainous regions of Nepal culminated in a journey to trek the Annapurna trail with close friends. A trip of a lifetime! One of Stew's expressions was that you must keep - ALL YOUR DUCKS IN A ROW - We are trying every day to do just that. Your family will love and miss you forever. To send condolences please visit
