William Amos Obituary

Amos, William(Bill) Frederick, Apr 02, 1942 - Jan 25, 2018 It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Bill Amos announce his passing. Bill was born April 2, 1942 in Prince Albert, SK and passed away January 25, 2018, unexpectedly, in Kelowna, BC. Bill was predeceased by his parents Hilda and Sam, his sisters Joyce and Sylvia and his nephew Bill. He is survived by his children: Connie (Joe), Lyn (Grant), Christin and Cameron and his grandchildren: Kyle, Cam, Brandon, Brett, Jason, Kamil, Tania, Joey and Jessica. Bill was also a great grandfather to Christian, Carter, Stellan and Abigail. Bill was born and raised in Prince Albert and began his career in Prince Albert in radio. He then raised his family in Saskatoon while working in advertising at CFQC-TV and later sales for Good Host Restaurant Supplies. He moved his family to Regina in the early 80's where his interest in the carpet industry began and he became a partner in CJV Carpets. He made Kelowna his home in the early 90's. Bill continued to work in the carpet industry until his passing. He loved working with the team at Nufloors in his final years. Bill spent the last 25 years of his life in Kelowna where he raised his grandson Kyle, enjoyed regular family visits with his daughter Connie, son-in-law Joe and his grandchildren Brandon and Cameron. He was very close with Kyle and Kyle's fiancé Aly and looked forward to spending time with his great grandson's Christian and Carter. Bill had a family of close friends in Kelowna that will miss him deeply. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Springfield Funeral Home in Kelowna, BC. Bill was an eye donor and the family asks in memory of him that you consider becoming an organ donor. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for family and friends.

Bill, came thru Lake Oswego on Friday, wondered if you might be there, only to find out today (Mar. 27) that you had passed! We will miss you my friend and I am very proud to call you my friend. My bet is: that you really were in Lake Oswego, a place that I know was very dear to you. Connie be strong, he loved you and Bill really did have a great "run at life".

You were such a beautiful soul, Bill. I will always remember the twinkle and a sparkle in your eyes. You lit up often when talking about or showing pictures of the family, Connie, Joe, Kyle and the grandchildren. You taught me so much at Nufloors and I will be forever grateful for your kindness to me. You gave to everyone you cared for and in so many ways. You knew so much about life and shared when the time was right. You taught people how to live and work and celebrated their happiness. May your family be comforted with a treasure trove of shared memories and love. I will forever miss you my friend.

I miss you my wise friend. I learned so much from you, Bill in work and life lessons. There is no one I would have rather shared a glass of wine and conversation than you. Rest In Peace, Bill.

My dearest friend passed on my daughters birthday, a feeling of gratefulness and great sadness. I worked with Bill at Nufloors, and we kept in touch after I left and moved to
Barra de Navidad Mexico, we often spoke about him coming to visit me here, but he was so worried about the event of a medical emergency happening. He never came here, but when I visited family in Kelowna, we always spent a lot of time together, he was my friend. My heart goes out to Connie, Kyle and all of the family that I have not met. May he rest in peace. Loving You Bill!

Bill was my boss in the Promotion Dept at CFQC TV in the early 70s. I have so many fond memories of him and the time we spent together at the station.
To his family, my sincerest sympathy.
The last time I saw him was when he returned to supply the station with flooring. I will miss him.
