SANDRA PRESTWICH Obituary
Sandra Louise Prestwich passed away peacefully October 14, 2015 with her loving husband, Gord by her side at the age of 57 years. She was born September 3, 1958 as the third daughter to Manley and Mary Lou Dodd. She attended all her school years in Olds. January 5, 1980 she married Gord Prestwich and together they had two children Jennifer and Jason. Sandy worked for many years for the Royal Bank in Olds, Innisfail and Calgary which she greatly enjoyed. She loved gardening and spending time in her beautiful backyard that she called her "oasis". She enjoyed quilting, stained glass, photography and genealogy, researching her ancestors and heritage. Sandy and Gord enjoyed travelling and took many trips. She genuinely loved experiencing many of the adventures life had to offer. Her greatest passion and love was for her 6 grandchildren who enriched her life immensely. Sandy is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 35 years, Gord; children Jennifer (Frank) Ilonze of Calgary; son Jason (Bailey) Prestwich of Beaumont; grandchildren Amaka, Chizara and Kaima Ilonze and Nathan, Madison and Alyssa Prestwich; parents Manley and Mary Lou Dodd of Olds; sisters Penny (Brian) Ford of Sundre; Debbie (Roger) Craig of Sundre; Theresa (Dan) Janzen of Red Deer as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. She will be greatly missed by all. A Celebration of Life Open House will be held on Saturday November 21, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Olds United Church. Please join the family for a time of sharing and remembering Sandy. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Olds & District Hospice Society. Sending our deepest sympathies and numerous thoughts & prayers to all that knew and loved Sandy . Her passing has saddened me greatly but I know my friend from years ago will always live on in the spirit of her kindness , cherished memories & to all those she touched in life.
I shall miss you my friend, until we meet again rest in peace.
