Robert Bernard DARGAVEL

It is with saddened hearts we announce the passing of Robert Bernard Dargavel (Pop's) age 86 of Digby, passed away November 23, 2022, at Digby General Hospital. Born in Toronto, he was a son of William and Eda (Ridout) Dargavel. He enjoyed curling, golf, reading, and crossword puzzles. Pop's may have had more books than the local library. He had a huge smile, caring heart, amazing laugh, and was a big supporter in his daughter's life goals. He loved cats, dogs; would talk to the cats all day and watch them play and loved to sit outside with the family dog. He always loved a peanut butter cookie. Pop's is survived by daughter, Olesya; brothers, Paul, James, William, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Barbara Hick-Dargavel. Donations in Robert's memory can be made to Smiths Cove Fire Department, PO Box 70, 43 North Old Post Road, Smiths Cove, Nova Scotia, B0S 1B0, or Heart and Stroke Foundation. Visitation will be Saturday, May 27 from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. with funeral at 12:30 p.m. all from Orangeville Curling Club, 76 5th Ave., Orangeville, ON, with reception to follow.
