James Wintringham Obituary

James Fredrick "Fred" Wintringham, late of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Herb Bassett Care Home in Prince Albert, SK.

Fred enjoyed his career with the RCMP and later worked as a bus driver with PA Northern Bus Lines. In 1988, he met his lifelong partner, Elaine McCloy (née Aalbers), with whom he shared many cherished years. Fred had a love for dog training and enjoyed playing hockey and ball. He and Elaine also found great joy in hosting garage sales throughout the summer months, welcoming friends and neighbors alike.

Fred will be lovingly remembered by his stepson, Jason (Carrie) McCloy; his grandsons, Brayden, Ryley, and Grayson McCloy; and his siblings, Alan Wintringham, Les Wintringham, Caroll Ottenbreit, Georgia Penno, and Nora Gross.

He was predeceased by his partner, Elaine McCloy (née Aalbers), an infant grandson, Carson McCloy and his brother, Steve Wintringham.

A service will be announced at a later date. The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff of Herb Bassett Care Home for the compassionate care provided to Fred.
