Victor Robert Obituary
It is with great sadness we are announcing the death of our father, husband, grandpa, and great-grandpa Victor "Vic" E. Robert of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Vic passed away suddenly but peacefully at home on April 15, 2021.
Vic was born on October 11, 1942 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan to Robert and Ethel Robert of Steep Creek. He started working with his Dad on the farm as a young boy, and then later on worked at many different jobs throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan. Vic returned back to the farm with Roseann to continue his lifelong career in farming.
Vic loved hunting and fishing more than anything. His time at the family cabin in Nemeiben and fishing down at the river with family and friends were some of his most cherished moments. Anyone who knew Vic knows that he was a hard worker and played just as hard. He always knew how to make everyone laugh with his one liners, witty comebacks and colorful language. Anyone who stopped in for a visit knew they would be invited to "the shop for a shot." Vic loved spending time in his shop tinkering and fixing things, as well as visiting with his friends, family, and his loyal dog, Charlie. Vic had a special place in his heart for all of his grandchildren and great grandchild. He loved when they came for a visit.
Vic is survived by his wife, Roseann Robert; children: Lori (Larry) Reich, Nicole (Chad) Chester, Rob (Ashley) Robert; grandchildren: Kyle (Tabitha) Reich, Kody (Taralyn) Reich, Kurri (Jen) Reich, Blayke Chester, Kirsten Robert and Rozlynn Gaudet; great grandchild Vienna Reich; siblings: Carol (Stan) Moxness, Leon (Iris) Robert, Star (Ron) Basset, Terry (David) Forde, Shelly (Dwayne) Dye; as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
Vic is predeceased by his parents Robert and Ethel Robert, and sister, Albina Clark.
Vic has left a huge void in our hearts and lives. We know he would tell us not to be sad and to celebrate his life. He said many times, "You guys better throw a party when I'm gone and celebrate!" We will do just that, Dad. Cheers! Till we meet again! Say hi to George for us. Love you and miss you forever.
A Private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray's Funeral Chapel, (306) 922-4729.
