With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Violet Evelyn Richardson, 86, at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon on December 27, 2025. Born in Ottawa and grew up in Almonte, Ontario, Violet worked as a librarian before devoting herself to raising her family. She was gentle, kind, and quiet, bringing warmth and calm to everyone around her. Violet loved reading, jigsaw puzzles, word puzzles, and had a special affection for cats. Violet was predeceased by her parents, Lillie Evelyn Corkery and William John Corkery. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, William Richardson, her son, Brian Richardson (Nyik San), her daughter Elaine Wolford, and her granddaughter, Shayleigh Wolford. There will be no public service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Royal University Hospital Foundation.
