Wanda BUSHEY Obituary

1952 - 2022

Wanda Francis Bushey (née Bissonette) passed away at home after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her father Aubrey (Web) Francis Bissonette and brother Dennis. Wanda is survived by her mother Alice Bissonette, her partner Paul Bissonette of 38 years, daughter Denise (John McGill), son Lenny (Mari Valila), and grandchildren Hazel McGill, Joe, Katie, and Andrew Bushey. Wanda will be sadly missed by her brothers Elroy (Lorie), Peter (Teresa), Neil (Carol), Lloyd and sisters Kathleen (Steven Tait) and Lorraine (John Tait). Wanda also leaves behind many in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Wanda enjoyed a long career as a PSW taking care of patients who were home bound. She was well respected and cared deeply about all her clients and co-workers. She will be remembered for her kindness and willingness to help family and friends. Wanda and Paul had dreamed of living on a small lake and in 2005 built their home on Mutton Lake. They enjoyed many large family gatherings at their home as well as quiet days on the lake with their beloved dogs. At Wanda's request, cremation has taken place and a family gathering will be held later when Covid restrictions are lifted. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Logan Funeral Home, 81 James Street, Parry Sound, (705-746-5855). Paul, so so sorry to hear of the passing of Wanda. Though it´s been a short time we´ve known the two of you it was enough time to realize what a wonderful person Wanda was. We too will miss her paddling by with the dogs or our roadside chats.
