BICCUM - With heartache, the family Mrs. Lorene (Rene) Dorothy Caroline (nee Hearn) Biccum, wife to the late Harold Biccum of Preeceville announce her passing on November 9, 2022 at the Preeceville Long Term Care Centre. Lorene was born on March 26, 1925, to Richard Edmond (Ed) and Blanche (Weikle) Hearn. Her siblings were: Lionel (Lowney) Hearn, Ione Parkin, Charlotte Siddons, Ethel Fisher and Donatius (Don) Hearn. On December 9, 1942 she married the love of her life, Harold Biccum. They were blessed with five children: Dwayne, Sherry, Darrell, Randy and Rick. She had a special relationship with each of her 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Ed & Blanche Hearn; husband of almost 72 years, Harold; her son, Dwayne; brothers, Lionel and Don Hearn; sisters, Ione (Bob) Parkin, Charlotte (Russell) Siddons; brother-in-law, Morley Fisher; granddaughter, Melissa Biccum; son- in-law, Dennis Stubbe and grandson-in-law, Jason Piche. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Sherry; sons, Darrell (Barb), Randy, and Rick (Sharon); daughter-in-law, Marjorie; her sister Ethel Fisher; and sister-in-law, Evelyn Hearn. Also to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service was held on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Preeceville, with Pastor Hein Bertram Officiating. Tributes and Words of Remembrance where shared by Cindy Piche, Darla Oleksyn and Stefan Bymak. Lorena Slade, Chrystal Bymak and Denise Taylor read scripture. Special Music was performed by Renaye, Maicey and Kyla Scheller. Interment followed in the Preeceville Community Cemetery with Lorene's Granddaughters, Darla Oleksyn, Cindy Piche, Lorena Slade, Renaye Scheller, Denise Taylor, Chrystal Bymak and Keana Biccum serving as the Casketbearers. Honourary Casketbearers were Shay, Aleda, Kristin and Stacey Biccum. A lunch followed at Club 60.
