ANTONIO - Mr. Robert James Antonio, beloved partner of the late Rosie Pozniak, of Preeceville, passed away on Friday, January 12. He was 82 years of age. Robert was born on March 15, 1941, to Mike ad Helen (Shuya) Antonio at the Yorkton Hospital. Robert attended Monister School until he was taken out by his parents, as he was needed to help out on the farm when the older boys left home. Robert enjoyed the farm life. Robert met Rose Pozniak 30+ years ago when he retired from farming and moved into Preeceville. They enjoyed socializing and having people over. Robert loved working on mechanical stuff and enjoyed when people would stop by for a visit. He enjoyed playing cards and playing with numerous nieces and nephews and other children. Robert was predeceased by his parents, Mike and Helen; grandparents; partner, Rose Pozniak; siblings, Jean, Peter, Merl and Wes. He is survived by his siblings, Wilmer (Sylvia), Harold (Angie), Sam (Dorothy), Paul, Eugene (Ethel), Mary (Orest) and Iris (Carl), along with numerous nieces, nephews and Rose's family.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. from Preeceville Funeral Home. Those unable to attend may view a livestream of the service by going to Robert's tribute page at
