Trevor Cook Obituary
Our hearts are broken, as we announce that Trevor Shawn Cook passed away on September 3, 2022, in Saskatoon, SK at the age of 49. Trevor was born March 20, 1973 to David and Elva Cook in Moose Jaw, SK. When he arrived at our house, Trevor was a small baby, but grew into a nice, healthy baby. To his sisters, Bev, Shannon, and Lisa, it was like having a real live baby doll. To say that we spoiled him was an understatement! Trevor loved sports. When it was his turn to do a chore on the dairy farm, the excuse he used was that he either had practice or a game. Trevor played on various teams for hockey, fastball, and curling. He made many friends as a result of his involvement in sports. Trevor loved his nieces and nephews. Many times he would convince them to come and catch for him while he pitched; but usually after just a couple of pitches, they usually quit. His mom and dad's garage door was pounded full of dints from with balls or pucks. Trevor did various jobs throughout the years until he got into farming. He was on the Hazel Dell Hall Committee. He absolutely loved sports. He enjoyed hockey, fastball, curling, golf and hunting. Trevor's health was poor in the last two years of his life. He was eventually diagnosed with Lyme's disease several months ago. He did receive several treatments for it, however the disease had advanced too far and he was unable to recover. Trevor is survived by his parents, David and Elva Cook, his sister Bev Masko (John) and their children Colin (Sheri) and Scott (Angie) Masko, Shane (Meagan), Mitchell (Janine), and Brenden (Makayla) Nelson, his brother Terry Cook and children Brandi, Bridie, and Jonah Cook. Also left to mourn him are his brother-in-law Jim Hook, his and Lisa's children Jesse and Cole, and nephew Coulton Smith and niece Ryley Pickering (Shannon's children). Also left to remember Trevor are his dear friends Lance Holowaty and Nichol Russell. Trevor is pre-deceased by sisters Shannon Cook, and Lisa Hook, his grandparents Norman & Jessie Wright, and Kenneth & Margaret Cook, and James Pickering (husband of his niece Ryley Pickering). Memorial donations in memory of Trevor may be made to Hazel Dell Recreation Centre, PO Box 63, Hazel Dell, SK.
