Anthony Baratta Obituary

Anthony (Tony) Joseph Baratta July 18 1927 - Dec 21 2011 It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Tony. Surrounded by his family, after a stroke Tony lost his battle to cancer at the PG Hospice House. Tony is survived by his wife of 50 years Jessie, 3 sons Terry (Michele), Tom, Wayne, 2 granddaughters, Kelsey and Jordyn, sister Mary Nistico of Thunder Bay, Ont. and many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his brothers Buddy and Frank. Tony was a pipe fitter by trade and worked in the pulp and paper industry in Marathon Ont., Squamish, Prince Rupert, and finally finishing his career in Prince George. In early retirement Tony and Jessie spent many miles seeing North America in their motor home. In the later years he had been enjoying his granddaughters. We would like to thank the doctors and nurses at UHNBC , the staff and volunteers at Hospice House for their care and compassion and Dr. Burg for your care and understanding. A celebration of Tony's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to PG Hospice House would be appreciated.
