Cecil MacAdams Obituary

Cecil MacAdams, 74, of Prince George, passed away peacefully at Prince Rupert Regional Hospital on March 24, 2024, after a short battle with Lewy Body Dementia. A special thank you to Cecil's sister, Eula Geddes (Gary), and her daughter, Lynn Proksch and grandchildren, Kyle and Hanne - you all provided the muscle against the system, but more importantly, gave love and attention with all your countless visits. It is comforting to know he was not alone in the end.
Cecil was born on December 15, 1949, to Betty and Charles MacAdams in Liverpool, Nova Scotia. He lived in Prince George for most of his adult life and worked at Nechako Bowling Lanes for many decades before retiring in 2021. He also had a passion for golf and spent most of his summer days golfing at Prince George Golf and Curling Club as a longtime member.

Cecil MacAdams has two children, Mike MacAdams (Paula) and Darcie Nelson (Doug), but also two stepchildren, Cheryl Piddocke (Tyler) and Paul Wilson. He has ten grandchildren.

Cecil was predeceased by his parents, life partner Hanne Wilson, and youngest brother James MacAdams. He is survived by his children, oldest brother Ron MacAdams and sister Eula (Gary) Geddes. Most importantly, he was survived by his many friends. EVERYONE is welcome to come to the informal burial and celebration of life afterward.

Cecil will be laid to rest with the love of his life, Hanne Wilson, at Prince George Cemetery, 3300 Memorial Park Ln, Prince George, BC, on June 15, 2024, at 12 pm PST. Celebration of life will be held after the burial at Nechako Bowling Lanes, 1665 3rd Ave, Prince George, BC, from 2-4 pm PST.

Being a very close relative of Cecil and his brothers and sister my heart aches for the loss.
As kids we played together- skating on the pond and the ice topped gravel road;--swimming in the harbour;- picking blueberries ,and playing board games and cards with Nannie.
He was a very loving and kind hearted nephew to his Aunt Ruth and Aunt Hazel. We shall meet again someday and what a reunion that will be. Love from Natalie and Phillip
