Bob and Chrissy were great friends of my grandparents, Ken and Lorraine Dorosh. I wanted to reach Bobby and share my memories of Chrissy as I´ve been thinking of him but am not sure where or how to reach him these days, I hope this does!
I knew Chrissy all my life. She visited me in the hospital in Vancouver when I was born and even worked up the courage to finally pierce her ears at 42 years old on the day I was born to celebrate and pay homage to my mom Deanne´s very long labour. I have many warm memories of Chrissy during my childhood, she was always so kind, funny and vivacious. I can still hear her animated voice telling a story and saying "fabulous!!!". One of my favourite memories is the time I was playing on her sitting room floor as a kid and I spied a tin of fresh baked cookies hidden underneath her chesterfield...she laughed, gave me permission to open it and explained she had hid them there from herself! After that day I would always check when I visited and she would often leave treats under there to be found (or maybe just hidden from herself, who knows). She was such a special lady and I always loved seeing her when visiting my grandparents in Prince George. I am so sorry for the Cooper families loss and especially Bob who I loved just as much. I hope he is doing well. xoxo

I'm heartbroken to have just discovered this, now.
Christine bought one of my paintings in an offering to support our animal rescue society.
I'm so sorry as this soul was a very bright light, always shining with a smile to light a mile.

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Chris! She was such a vibrant, happy person. We were the Mathie family who lived just down the street from Chris & Bob. My son Brent Mathie & Jon Cooper played street hockey as kids. My twins Tammy & Darren played with Christopher.

Bob, my dad, Bud Cooney, adored you both. He would be so saddened by Chrissy's death. I am sorry that he is no longer with us to lend his unique brand of support to you at this time. We know how much Chrissy's friendship has meant to Sylvia over the past few difficult years. Chrissy's candle burned particularly bright for many. Condolences to you, your sons and many people who will be missing Chrissy's vibrant presence. ( I only learned of Chrissy's death yesterday.)

I met Mrs. Cooper only once, in Las Vegas as she attended the NHL awards to see her son Jon as an award nominee. Although we only spent a few hours (and a few drinks) together, I remember her to be simply delightful and profoundly proud of her two boys. My sincerest condolences to Mr. Cooper, Jon, Chris, and their families. Sending warmest wishes from NY to you all.

"Louisa" will always hold a place in my heart. Knowing her since I was 8 years old and always having her there to talk to will be treasured and missed. I can still hear in my memories, Chrissy coming into my parents’ home, telling Alfie he was going to lose money on the game! Chrissy had such a flare for life. Her laughter could be heard from afar. Sending love to the Cooper Familia. Chrissy loved being Italian. I loved her with all my heart. She was a constant, fun loving, figure in my life. She always had time to chat, have a cocktail and catch up with her family/friends. She was vivacious. Her spirit and the many memories of her will be here close by.
I shed a tear but will not let grief and sadness stay. I know Christine Coopers life was full of beauty, joy, fun, family and friends.

To all the Cooper family. I was so very sorry to hear about Chrissy’s passing. She was such a wonderful, amazing and vibrant woman. I have such great memories of all the fun times at my Mom and Dads (Alf and Anne Nelson) House on New Year’s Day watching all the ‘bowl’ games and Chrissy and my dads ongoing bets. So sorry to hear about Chris' passing. She touched everyone who was lucky enough to come in contact with her. I can remember lacrosse trips and chatting in the stands at lots of home games. So sorry to hear about Bob and family's sudden loss. While I had not seen "Chrissy" in years, her and Bob were among my (now deceased) parents', Spike and Margaret Enemark, best friends during the time I grew up there in in the 60s and 70s. Chrissy was one of those adults who made time to talk to us kids, and will never forget all the laughter (mostly hers) during the many gatherings where I happened to be present. Sincere condolences.

We were so sorry to learn the news of Chrissie's passing. She was a great friend to my aunt Sylvia Cooney who now lives in Rainbow Lodge. They had many, many fabulous social occasions together and enjoyed their season tickets to Theatre Northwest for many years. Christine was an angel, on my life path, from the tender age of eleven. I was blessed to learn many life lessons from Christine during my time in her company babysitting her sons and sharing in the Cooper Family. Endearing is Christine's compassionate gifts that were indelibly from the heart with unconditional love. I am so glad I had the opportunity a few years ago to meet Christine. She kindly attempted to teach Elaine and me Bridge at her beautiful White Rock home. She truly was a kind, intelligent, fun lady! I loved that she was so passionate about art too...she loved supporting local artists and toured me through her home enthusiastically giving me the background on each piece of art she owned and why it was significant to her. Her love, humour and passion for life will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

I have many fond memories of Christine (Mrs. C). She was always so bubbly, like a glass of champagne and her happiness was contagious to all that were in her presence. Your tenacity and good humour will always be remembered fondly. I remember that TV room where many high school conversations began and slowly migrated to that kitchen island where we would all enjoy some intriguing weekend conversation and share our stories with Mrs. C.

I have many fond memories of Chris at the weekly bridge games which rotated through our childhood home many years ago. The obit describes her impeccably. I’ll always be grateful for her constant encouragement in encouraging me to attend University and for opening my eyes to the fact the world extended beyond PG.
