Calyniuk, Darlene Ann (Sherba) July 19, 1947 September 25, 2013 On Wednesday, September 25, 2013 Darlene Calyniuk ended her brave battle with heart disease surrounded by family and friends. She will be missed by all. Survived by her adoring family, Clarence Calyniuk (husband), daughter Lana (Rich) Frazer, son Bradley (Serena) Calyniuk, grandchildren Matt, Eric, and Jayden, brother Peter Sherba, sister Betty-June Gair and many nieces, nephews and friends. Darlene was born in Vernon, BC and later settled in Prince George, BC, where she met and married her husband of 46 years, Clarence. Clarence and Darlene made their life together in Prince George, where they raised their two children, Lana and Brad. Darlene dedicated her life to taking care of her family. She was affectionately known as “Baba� to her adoring grandchildren, and had a reputation for cooking, baking, and her keen sense of humour. She enjoyed the company of many friends in the community, and was especially proud of her job as the “demo lady� at the Spruceland Save-On-Foods. Funeral service will be offered at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 3 at Sacred Heart Cathedral located 887 Patricia Boulevard, Prince George, BC. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC.
