Doris Jarvis Obituary

Doris Elizabeth Jarvis May 30, 1925 - August 8, 2016 Doris left us peacefully to find her two little boys, Corey and Ethan, and to join her husband, Roy. Mom will be greatly missed by Janet (Ted), Don (Sadie), Dave (Donna), Carleen (Rob), Rob (Karla), her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Predeceased by her siblings George Anderson, Ethel Lapointe, and Shirley Rutherford. Doris was born in South Ft. George and spent her childhood at Isle Pierre. After attending college in Victoria, she homesteaded at Reid Lake with her husband Roy, where they raised their family. Doris was a valued member of the Reid Lake community. Many turned to her for her loving touch with children and a coveted place at her kitchen table. Doris was an avid gardener and spent countless hours researching our family history. Doris was fiercely devoted to her family and quietly taught us the value of kindness and humour. Fondly known to most as Gramma, Doris was an amazing mother, grandmother and friend to so many. Doris lived a life of purpose that we all strive to achieve. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Hart Community Centre on August 30, 2016 at 11:00a.m.

I am so honored to know your mom. Delivering eggs each week was my high light of the day. We would sit visit tell stories. Mrs. Jarvis I will always have you in my heart. You were a good friend a treasure I will never forget. Thank you to the family for all your kindness . Memories last forever. God bless.
