Kristine. I am saddened to hear of Ed's passing. He was as a decent man who always had time for quick catch up when he was hanging out and enjoying life with his grandchildren.

What a funny guy, always made me laugh. Years ago Kristine looked after our kids. If Ed was home when I dropped them off. Ed would put on 100 Huntley St.The kids would just look at Ed. Ed would leave the room laughing but would not change the channel. He will be missed.

Ed and the Shearer family were a huge part of my life growing up. Ed was always a friendly face across the street who would always greet you with a hello or a funny joke. I have fond memories of spending my summer weekends at the ball diamond working at the concession with him. Hugs to Kristine, Haley and Marit. So sorry for your loss.

My deepest condolences Kristine & family on the loss of your beloved Ed.
I had the great privilege to work with Ed for many years, he was always the life of the room with jokes and much, much laughter along the way but under all that humour was a very supportive, caring & compassionate man who provided a listening ear when needed for which I´ll be forever greatful & thankful. Ed was a great boss to me and taught me so much during those years, skills that were helpful after Ed retired, it was a joy to work alongside Ed.
At the ball fields, during tournaments, I appreciated all those hot chocolates on a cold rainy days and especially the early morning hangover burgers he´d happily cook up for all of us with a smile and chuckle. The ball fields were always meticulously maintained by Ed for all of us to enjoy.
Too many wonderful memories to share, thank you Ed!! Rest In Peace.

I give you this one thought to keep -
I am with you still - I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the sweet uplifting rush,
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone -
I am with you still in each new dawn.
