Elva Hendricks Obituary

ELVA HENDRICKS Our beloved mother and grandmother passed away May 20, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by husband Leon, son Lyle, cherished brother Roy, sisters Barbara and Delores. Left to mourn her passing is son Jerry (Barb) and her chosen daughter Colleen. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Elva was born in Prince George on May 26, 1927 to Mary and John Hoagland. She was a stay at home mom dedicating her life to her family and friends. Heartfelt gratitude to her partner in crime, Lil, for decades of friendship and cousin Clyde, who always made her smile. A sincere thank you to the staff at Gateway Lodge. Graveside interment service will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 2:30pm at Prince George Memorial Park Cemetery. Assman's Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.

I was sorry to hear of Elva's passing, having got to know her during her time at Gateway. I always enjoyed our little visits and her happy nature. My sympathies to the family.

I, Alice Sklarchinsky, babysat for Elva and Leon's kids. On Saturday I brought my pajamas, stayed overniight and left Sunday. It was such a wonderful job that paid so well, and for such kind fun people - I played hard, cleaned well, so that I could keep being called back. Elva so kind.
