GEORGE ARTHUR OLDROYD November 29, 1949 January 21, 2010 Passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the P.G. Rotary Hospice House, with his family at his side. He is survived by his loving wife Venus, his parents Arthur & Ruth Oldroyd, his daughter Amber McIsack & granddaughter Faith McInnis. George was predeceased by his 2 sisters, Jean Murphy & Linda Breckenridge. He was involved in many activities; girls softball, owner & manager of Crown Limousine Service, Hixon Car Club, owner & driver of a car for P.G. Taxi, Greyhound bus driver, owner of several cafe's & a restaurant owner, a Paramedic & ambulance driver, a member of the Legion in PG and an antique car collector. George loved cars, motorcycles and just loved driving. The seniors will remember the many bus trips to Quesnel. He was the owner & manager of Prince George Funeral Service Ltd. for many years, serving the community of Prince George & surrounding areas. A Funeral Service for George will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 2:00pm from the First Baptist Church (5th Ave.) with Rev. Tom Lavigne officiating. In memory of George, donations may made to the Cancer Society or to the P.G. Hospice Society. Grace Memorial Funeral Home & Crematorium Ltd. in care of arrangements. 1-866-567-4814

goerge was my dearest friend. i loved him and adored his family..i will never say good bye. over the years that have passed goerge was always in my heart and in my thoughts. i cant express how sorry iam. Ruth, Arthur and Venus please extend my prayers to each other and always know how much goerge was loved and needed. he made such a difference in my life and im sorry my pride was in the way of saying i love you. im here if you need any thing. till we meet again my dear friend rest in peace and one day we will dance again.

Sorry to hear about your loss. George was my slowpitch coach, we had lots of fun with George. I played for Crown Limousine, in the mid 80"s. All of his girls will miss him terribly he was a great man , so caring and thoughtful. My thoughts are with his family in this time of loss. Miss you and love you George. Kim Macrae ( Prince George)
