Jacob Roderick Obituary
Jacob was born on October 25, 2004, arriving just one minute before his twin brother. He brought instant chaos, loads of laughter and so much love into our lives. He loved so deeply. Jake had a passion for BMX, skateboarding, snowboarding, rollercoasters, and anything that got his adrenaline pumping. Jake was always up for any crazy idea.
Jacob will be forever missed by his mom Laurie Fowlie (Brett), twin brother Lucas, sister Emily, grandparents Ronald and Patricia Roderick and Joe and Laura Fowlie, aunts Melissa Roderick, Debbie Heywood (Sven), Sue Mason (Stuart), Cathy Fowlie (Pader), Sarah Fowlie (Kyley), uncles James Fowlie (Carol) and Joe Fowlie (Suzanne), cousins Izabella (Ethan), Elizabeth, Kaitlyn, Halley, Gabe, Lauren, Bethany (Tristan), Eric, Booklyn, Dennis, Rachel, Jessica, Joshua, Erin, Daniel, Elsa, Adelaide, Remy, Beckett, all the Easson's and many extended family and friends.
Jacob was predeceased by his dad James Roderick and cousins Brian Heywood and Baby Joey Fowlie.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, 3285 Cathedral Avenue, Prince George.

Laurie, Luke, Emily, and family,
Sending my deepest condolences to you all during this truly devastating loss. I had the pleasure of teaching Jake for three years over the course of his elementary years at Sacred Heart School. He was one of the most charismatic, energetic, and entertaining students I´ve ever known. To say he left an impression would be an understatement as I can still easily recall his infectious laugh, his sneaky smile, and his genuinely kind heart. I first met Jake when he was an eager third grade student, one of 26 or so boys I´d have in my class as a first-year teacher. It was a perfect recipe for Jake´s precocious personality to blossom and shine! I learned so much in that first year and boy was Jake a part of some great school adventures during my years at SHS. Watching him graduate his elementary years and getting to celebrate and build memories with him and his classmates at Camp Maurice is one of the highlights of my teaching career that I will cherish for years to come. I feel privileged to have known Jake as the bright, charming, caring young man he was and while I cannot even fathom the heartbreak you all must feel, I hope that the memories and impressions Jake has left in the many lives he´s touched will forever be a reminder of his beautiful soul.

My heart is so heavy with this news. Jake, I remember you and Luke well from elementary school where I was the EA in your classroom and got to see you grow over the years. You and Luke always made me laugh! You had an infectious smile, and loved a good joke. No matter what, you were always full of kindness and care. I am so sorry to know the world has one less genuine soul in it. My thoughts and prayers to your family, especially Laurie, Emily, and Luke. Rest in peace.

I still remember as a kid how good of friends we were, you and your brother always made sure I was welcome, gone to soon but maybe for the better. I miss you wish things could have been different but I believe you´re in a better place. Still glad to call you my friend. Even after 15 years not seeing each other. Still feeling like yesterday when we had that birthday party at your moms, your dad coming down the stairs trying to scare us all lol. You are loved bro an will be missed

We worked together at Tim Horton's. He always went above and beyond, Jake clearly had the biggest heart. I'm so incredibly sorry for the families loss. Luke, you're in my heart. I'm so sorry you lost your twin brother. Sending all the love my heart can bear to family and loved ones.

My heart is sad . I have never met Jacob but his smile is beautiful. I grew up and went to Seymour Elementary PG . I also had the same silver St . Christopher on his chain as i did as a young person .
