Jamie Drost Obituary

Jamie Drost (1943 - 2010) Jamie was born to James and Dorothy (Knox) Hallett in Millville,NB on July 18, 1943, and passed away on Tuesday, December 14, at Schaffer Residence. She is survived by her son, Steven (Zena) of Prince George, 5 brothers, Clarence (Jan), Howard (Lesley), Robert (Carol), Murray (Rhonda), and James (Julie); 3 sisters, Elizabeth Hallett, (Barb), Diane Schriver (Alton), and Marguerite Fawcett (Ellis), serveral nieces and nephews. Jamie was predeceased by her husband, Gordon, and her son Greg. Jamie worked at Pacific Western Brewery for 25 years and was a devoted worker, taking pride in doing her job well. She was one of many women who were a part of the "Knifty Knitters" for about 25 years and has knitted and crocheted many afghans. She recieved great pleasure from the many unique crafts she created.Jamie also belonged to a support group called "Broken Circle" where she gave and gained support from the wonderful friends who had also lost a mate. She was a founding member of "Missing Mates" In her final days, she was wrapped in a cocoon of warmth and love, surrounded by family and many friends. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2010, at 1:00pm from the chapel of Prince George Funeral Service, with a short visitation time prior to service. Interment in Prince George Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jamie's memory may be made to the Hospice House. Dear ones,
