Joanne...I only heard today that you had passed. The sadness that I feel is overwhelming. I know that we had hardly seen each other since the mid nineties, but I will always remember our friendship and the time we spent together. RIP beautiful lady. You will always remain in my heart. I met Joanne a year ago at Vancouver General. I visited her every week for the last year. Joanne was an amazing woman, she was strong, courageous, funny, spiritual and loving. She fought hard to get home but she couldn't get there. I guess it was God's will to keep her here. Whenever she talked about her family, she would smile. She was so proud of of all her children. Joanne would always make me laugh with her wonderful sense of humor and wittiness.
My deepest condolences to the family, she is now at peace and watching over you. Hold on to her memories and remember her great love she had for you. .
