Peter Dasilva Obituary
Peter's zest for life was large and love for family profound. He leaves behind, his wife Joyce, three sons, two daughters, seven grandkids & his mother Doris, sister Sandra, brother Alan.
Peter is predeceased by his father Edwin. Peter spent a 38-year career working for Northwood Pulp/Canfor. In 2019, he retired, however chose to maintain an active lifestyle. Moreso, Peter was an avid gym goer; he fished; swam and learned to free
dive. He enjoyed creating "Pete's projects" and could often be seen walking his favorite canine companion, Cruz.
Peter was a foodie, and a stylish dresser, but mostly a friend to all. When he was in public, he would usually stop to chat, to someone he just happened to know. His community connection was vast.
During the last few months of Peter's life, he ensured that his relationship with family and friends remained strong and meaningful. Peter will be truly missed.
A service will be held at St. Mary's Church on November 1rst @3:30 PM - 1088 Gillett St. A funeral reception to follow@5 PM - 556 N. Nechako Rd. - Upstairs.

This is so hard to read. I´m so saddened to hear of Peter´s passing. We have known Peter and his family for many yrs. Peter was such a kind, caring, loyal and loving human. Peter always had time to talk and ask how you were. When he told me about the C word I was devastated. Peter said no I´m going to fight this. He was the most healthiest human I knew. Always taking care of himself. You will be missed. My heart breaks for your family. You leave a beautiful legacy behind. I´m going to miss our talks Peter. RIP my friend.

I´m so sorry for his family´s loss. Peter was a wonderful friend to me and my sister Corinda for many years. We were shocked to hear of his passing. When I was younger, I spent a lot of time at the gym and I´d often run into Peter there. He was very disciplined about his health and exercise. In our 20´s we were often all together in a group out on the town on the weekends. The eighties with Pete were so much fun.
During the last several years, my husband and I enjoyed visiting him at Home Depot and listening to his plans for his new home. He should have had so many more years. We are very sorry for your loss Joyce and thinking of the entire family during this difficult time. Peter will be greatly missed.
We will remember the few Christmas dinners we were fortunate to spend together. As well as how excited and proud Peter was to show us around his new home and property even though outside it was cold, dark and wintery he walked us thru the back property where everything was lit up with lights that he had installed everywhere. It was a pristine moment!

We are so very sorry about the passing of our dear cousin Peter. He recently sent me a beautiful photo of him with his new red truck. He looked so very happy. When I think of Peter, I will remember his big smile in that photo. I will always have wonderful memories of visiting with Peter, Sandra and Alan and auntie Doris and uncle Edwin, when we lived in Prince George. My thoughts and prayers go to our beloved auntie Doris, Peter´s sons Christopher and Joshua and their spouses Jess and Autumn, and our dear cousins Sandra and Alan and their families. I am deeply saddened by the death of my dear cousin Peter. I have fond memories of fishing trips together and with family, many an evening playing street hockey after school, most Saturdays watching HNC or going to the movies with siblings and cousins. I remember most, Peter's joyful zest for life, his caring for his parents, siblings, friends and cousins and most of all his kindness, a kindness he shared throughout his life. This is a tough one. I've known Pete from the 70's growing up in the same neighborhood, hanging out at harper Park and playing street hockey together. Later partying, cruising in his old chevy pickup having a ton of laughs together. We used to run into each other at Northwood pulp whenever I had work there and we'd catch up on things. Last time we saw each other he was working the garden section at home depot last year, trying to stay busy during his retirement. We picked up right where we left off,as usual with Peter we laughed our butts off reminiscing about our friends and things we did together and where the time has gone.I'll miss those conversations and that laugh of yours my friend. Peter has always been the most amazing of human beings. I was lucky enough to get to know him over the last seven years and I am grateful to have had him as my father-in-law. He was such an amazing father to my husband and brother-in-law. Wish I had more time to have known you.

To my brother Peter, hard to believe that he is gone, and I will truly miss him. But I still have all those memories off him being a big brother, who always looked after me. I have known the DaSilva family for over 30 years. Peter was a beloved son an brother. I know he will be missed greatly by his family, especially his sister. They were very close even the same age for three weeks. My condolences to the entire family

Papa Pete was truly gentleman around men, he was a role model to myself and my wife and a grandfather whom my kids truly loved. Pete lived his life daily and always took time out to enjoy or be in the moment. His kind hearted soul will be missed but never forgotten. Just thinking about Pete. Haven't seen him for awhile. As I was looking through the obituaries I seen his name and thought No! No! No! You always here people say that he or she was so kind and giving. Pete was more than that. The moment you first meet him you know he was more than that. It was as if you had known him all your life. He was and always will be a top class act in every facet. Our loss! Heaven's gain! My heartfelt condolences to his loving family.
