I worked with Stan in Prince George. He was a great boss and true friend. Stan always had your back and would constantly be in teaching mode. We socialized and went on numerous trips and, at one time, ended up in Atlin. It was a trip of a lifetime! Many fond memories of `Stan the Man.´

Stan the Man, wow, what a Mans Man he was. I was 22 transferred to Vancouver Drug Section. Stan was a Grizzly, full beard and a man to be remembered by this 22 year old at that time. My mentor, one we all looked up to, his presence while on surveillance gave everyone a feeling of security and well being while being in a dangerous or insecure environment. Thus the nickname Stan the Man. Years later to meet and work for him again when i worked at Prince George and was blessed to have Stan my boss. A boss that always had your back. Prince George in 79 was a rough tough place and Stan was always nearby giving support and direction. A Watch was a close knit family and Stan was the head and strength of that family. Stan was always there for support and direction. If the boys made a mistake, you had better tell him first. Then, he had your back. In my 70´s now i still have good memories of Stan and in July i felt i needed to go see him again. I left Kelowna and drove to PG for 3 days but Stan was not home. I wanted to thank him, to thank him for being who he was and to thank him for helping me become the Policeman who i became. Stan, you will always be remembered because it was Policeman like you that made the RCMP the organization that we all wanted to be part of. Norm Blaney Kelowna

I didn´t know Stan, I never met Stan - but I heard so many monologues about Stan´s police work in the early seventies, convincing me, long ago, he was the real McCoy. One undercover operator in particular repeated countless UC stories of Stan´s leadership during a prolonged operation that mesmerized the imagination of a young gumshoe. My wish to have had the merriment of learning from Stan lived on through Frenchie and a rare few others who understood the underbelly of the illicit drug world, like Stan did. Policing a half-century ago was on another level - Writs of Assistance days, real identity protected non-contracted INF´s, original controlled deliveries and, of course, intense paper fights with the brass to get out of the office! Youngsters today shrug their shoulders at the remaining dinosaurs, but someday the Stan Domanskys of the policing world will be posthumously recognized for the pioneering drug investigative procedures they came up with, before the books were written. Stan was part of the genesis of drug investigational methods. They don´t make them like that anymore! My condolences to the family.

I was saddened to hear of Stan's passing. Stan and I trained together in Ottawa and shared the same barrack room. Stan was always good for a laugh during Training and was good company. I had the pleasure of meeting Joy at this time of their lives. Although I never had the pleasure of working with Stan, we did often meet through our working relationship in Vancouver. My deepest condolences to members of his family. He did make this world a better place to live.
