James Stapleton Obituary

James Douglas Stapleton August 5, 1948 - May 1, 2021 It is with grieving hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved dad, James (Jim) Stapleton. He was predeceased by his wife Lois in 2010. Jim is survived by his partner Anna Maria Coletto; daughter Crystal Gallant, son-in-law Shawn and their children Jakob, Andrew, Ella and Elise; son Kevin Stapleton, daughter-in-law Kirsty and their children Sandra, Jacob, Emily, Paige; grand-pup Jinx; siblings Larry, Anne, Trudie, Sue, Don, Gerald, Teresa and Greg; as well as many nieces and nephews. Jim was a dedicated father and grandfather first who treasured his family every day; spending time with them and friends was the most important part of life to him. He will be remembered fondly for his love of country music, hot rods and classic cars, fishing and camping, his gift of gab, his sense of humour and his random phone calls to "harass" the recipient. We will miss his drop-in coffee visits and daily phone calls. Heartfelt thank-yous to BC Ambulance attendants, Powell River ER doctors and nurses for their diligent care and compassion. A service will be planned when it is safe to do so under COVID-19 restrictions. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Jim's name to BC Children's Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or Little Warriors Be Brave Ranch.

Dear Family of cousin Jimmy,
Our heartfelt condolences cross the miles to you today. Having fond memories of Jimmy growing up on the ranch at Kelly Creek, He had a hearty laugh and a twinkle in his eye when engaging you in a conversation that usually started with him teasing or as was mentioned harassing a person .... perhaps about some lapse of memory regarding a family history one should have known.
Our encounters in later life were not many but when they happened it was always with a laugh and best wishes.
Thoughts go your way...
Love, Robbie, Elva Stapleton and family.
