John Currey Gray

1952 - 2022

John Currey Gray John Currey Gray left us peacefully in Powell River on January 18, 2022, at the age of 69 years old. He was born in Ottawa, Ontario, on September 9, 1952. John was a son, a brother, a father and a grandfather. He was the oldest of seven children. John is survived by his sons Sean and Ryan Murray, his sisters Jane Ervin (Dwayne), Susan Paton (Iain), his brother Bob Gray (Lorraine), sisters-in-law Donna Gray and Christina Gray, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mom Alice Gray, his dad Donald Gray, and his brothers Jim Gray, David Gray and Doug Gray. John had a great sense of humour and always had a few favourite sayings, such as "holy macaroni", "happy bird day", and "Wednesday". John always ended every conversation he ever had with the word "OVER!" Rest in peace, brother! A celebration of John's life will be held at a later date in Calgary, Alberta.
