Rita Cecile Marie Shaw

Rita Cecile Marie Shaw August 7, 1934 - July 17, 2022 It is with heavy hearts we say goodbye to our beloved mom, grandma, great-grandma and friend. She passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones, in her home, listening to her favourite songs. Rita was predeceased by her grandson Joey Prosperi-Porta. She leaves behind Marcella, Gary, Cheryl, Rob, Lisa, Joyce, Rino, Jenn, Keith, Kylie, Kaiden, Preston, Darlene, Doug, David, Holly, Jacob, Taylor, Paisley, Cole, Danny, Maryam, Hailee, Rylan, Samantha, Bruce, Carolyn, Al, Blake, Kirsten, Linsey and Max. It's hard to forget someone who gave you so much to remember. Rita independently raised four young girls while working until she officially retired at 62. She loved crocheting and knitting everyone a blanket. She loved it when everyone came over for waffles and made the best fried chicken ever! Baking was another passion of Mom's; we will pass on her recipes to all of her grandchildren. Her family meant everything to her. She also loved to go to Las Vegas whenever she could. Mom was the strongest independent person who had so much wisdom to pass along to all of us. We will all sadly miss her every day. Love you, mom, grandma and jamma-grandma. Miss you dearly. Toot-a-loo.
