Vance Ponsford
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Vance Ponsford (90). Vance was born to Curtis and Freida in Vancouver, British Columbia. Vance took great pride in his work as a Millwright, which took him to various locations across BC, Alberta, and California, until he settled in Vancouver to start his family and moved to Powell River in 2003. Vance will be lovingly remembered by Yan Ping, his wife and partner of 32 years, and daughters Sophie and Eirene. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends who loved him dearly. Vance was a loving father and husband who enjoyed spending his time on walks with his family, baking bread, and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. The family would like to thank Dr. Awopetu and the hospital doctors and nurses for their great care. A celebration of life will be held on February 13th at 2 PM at Stubberfield Funeral Home.
