We are sorry for your loss which we just learned off when trying to connect with Art through facebook. We have been enjoying his wonderful written memories on Facebook this morning. I apprenticed with Art in the navy and am the friend he woke up to tell of my second son's birth when we were going through the Panama Canal. I spent time at the hunt camp with Ray and Joe. Art was a great guy.

I just thought of art today and did a search and found this obituary, so a little late but none the less. Art was my instructor at bcit in 93 and due to his technical training I have become the person I am today. I think of him often and his teachings, and his stories.
He has help many people into their careers as a result a part of him lives on through all of us.
Thanks Art!

Jenn, Julie and Steve, I hope you rec. this message ... I met your Dad when he would visit your Mom in Ottawa before they married. Your Mom and I shared an apt. Both were great people and I am sure great role models. On a trip to Delta, your Dad insisted he teach me how to golf ... 18 holes, pouring rain, only two on the course Art and Alexa ... Lots of laughs! Memories are golden treasures to be Passed on to their grandchildren. Peace, Alexa Smithq
