Ken HARROP

HARROP, Ken Passed away peacefully at home on May 14, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a wonderful husband and best friend to Barb (nee Miller) for 45 years, proud father of Mark (Brenda Stark) and Kelly (Andy Zimmerman) and loving grandpa to Griffin and Isla. Brother of Ron (Kathy) and Paul (Ann) Harrop and brother-in-law to George (Dianne) Miller. Ken will be missed by his nieces and nephews, many friends, neighbours, former colleagues and his lifelong friends in ""the gang"". A graduate of Mohawk College, Ken spent 30 years with the City of Hamilton in the Culture and Recreation Department before enjoying an early retirement where he went on to work at Chippewa Creek Golf Course. Ken loved nature, gardening, boating, sports, music and travel. A Celebration of Life will be held in Ken's honour on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. at the Caledonia Lion's Club Community Centre (100 Haddington Street, Caledonia) with a memorial visitation from 4-6 p.m. followed by reflections of Ken's life. A light buffet will be provided by the Caledonia Presbyterian Church. Casual attire is encouraged. Donations in Ken's memory can be made to the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre Foundation or the Caledonia Presbyterian Church.
