Anthony Eldridge Obituary

Anthony Howard ELDRIDGE, U.E.
1938 - 2024

Anthony died at the Calgary Hospital on September 22, 2024, at the age of 86. He was the husband of the late Dorcas Levoy. He was the father of Michael and Steven, who both say that Mon & Dad left them a great Canadian Heritage. He was also the brother of Douglas, Bonnie and Dick [predeceased].
Tony was an amateur historian. He was a direct descendant of the United Empire Loyalists. It all started on the family farm on Tibbits Hill where he was born and raised by Howard McGinnis Eldridge and Ruby Rose Harden, both predeceased.
From his own hand - "It is not what you gather but what you scatter that tells you what kind of life you've lived."
Tony had a good life living all across Canada working for Bell Canada and he had stories about every place he worked.
The Brome County Historical Society would not be the same without the family histories that he researched. A special thanks to Irene, Barbara and Suzanne for special friendships in his later years.
The burial will take place in the spring of 2025.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Brome County Historical Society and would be appreciated.
