1916 - 2025
At the Manoir Lac Brome in Knowlton, on March 18, 2025, at the age of 108, Mrs. Cécile Archer (née Giroux), wife of the late Maurice Archer, passed away. She resided in Knowlton.
She is survived by her children Georges (Louise Payette), Joan (the late Richard Cournoyer), Édouard (Carol Koculym) and André (Daphne Nelson); her grandchildren Julie Archer, Dominik Archer, Pierre-Archer Cournoyer (Elizabeth Hailstone), Célie Cournoyer, Katrina Archer (Guylain Roy-Machabee) and Paul Archer (Megan Melville); and her great-granddaughter Emily Archer. She was the mother of the late Isabelle (Normand Landry). She also leaves to mourn her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive condolences on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, April 5, from 9 a.m. to 10:40 a.m., at the Désourdy Funeral Home, 318 Knowlton Road, Knowlton, J0E 1V0, 450 243-5568, www.desourdy.ca. The funeral will be held on Saturday, April 5, at 11 a.m. at St. Édouard Church, 366 Knowlton Road, Knowlton, J0E 1V0.
The family would like to thank the staff at Manoir Lac Brome for the extraordinary care provided to Mrs. Giroux over the past fifteen years.
