He was ordained as a United Church minister and served in Aylwin, Knowlton and Lennoxville, Quebec. He lived life to the fullest, camping with his kids and wife across Canada, canoeing, biking, snowshoeing, photographing, painting, voraciously reading, building and maintaining a beloved cottage, listening to music, visiting people, repairing and improving spaces and things, walking his dogs (Maxi and Scooter), and taking scenic motorcycle, bicycle, or car rides around our beautiful province.
He leaves to mourn his wife of 62 years, Patricia (nee Buchanan); his children Andrew (Monika nee Martens), Jennifer (Richard Tracy), Scott (France Desfossés); his grandchildren Nicole (Micah Jasperse), Rachel (Caleb Wright), Leah, Angela (Jacques Geleyn), Benjamin (Chloe Giddings), Sarah (Aryan Kanani), Natania, Zoe, Olivia; his 8 month old great-grandson Thiago; his sister, Barbara (Jim Champion); his brother-in-law Alan (Thérèse); sister-in-law Sheila; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He left us looking forward to crossing the finish line and seeing his Saviour face to face, and being reconnected with many family members in Heaven.
His funeral service and interment will take place on Tuesday, the 12th of December, 2023 at Rideau Funeral Home and Cemetery (Rideau Gardens), 4275 Sources Blvd., Dollard-Des Ormeaux, Quebec. Dear Jennifer and Rick, and all members of Doug Warren's family,
I just learned of the passing of your dear Father. I still remember him as a fine man, gentle, caring, a true servant of God. I learned from his obituary of his many interests and the fun he had with family.
What a special person! What a sad loss for you, but joy that we will meet with him someday in the presence of Jesus.

Dear Pat, Jennifer and Rick, Angela and the rest of your family members, I have just heard from an Eastern Township friend of Doug's passing. I am saddened but also aware that he had such health struggles for so many years. I know he had a deep faith in our Lord so we can say with assurance that he has his health back. I'm very grateful for having known Doug. He was there for me (Alice) when I needed support in a difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you all. Blessings. Craig and (Rev.) Alice McAlpine

I am saddened to hear of Rev Warren's passing. He officiated at our wedding at the Chapel of the CHUS , in 1984. A sweet gentle man. May he rest in peace. My sympathies to his family.

Pat and Doug were great Christian friends of Sue and John Dunn since our school days. I would like to give my deepest sympathy and love to Pat at this time of loss....We had a great shared connection to the Lord and for the past week Pat has been on my mind, without me knowing of the passing of Doug. Love and best wishes Pat.
