Elizabeth May Humphrey

Elizabeth May ("Betty") HUMPHREY

Passed away peacefully at Grace Village, Sherbrooke, QC, on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the age of 82. 
Born in Sherbrooke on July 6, 1943, she was the loving daughter of the late Ivy and George Hatch.
Beloved wife of Byron Humphrey, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage. Devoted and loving mother of David Humphrey (Sun) and Heidi Humphrey. She was a proud grandmother to Matthew Humphrey, Sarah, and Jeremy Landry, who meant the world to her.
Betty was a registered nurse and graduated from Sherbrooke Hospital in 1964, a role that reflected her caring nature and dedication to others. 
She will be remembered for the quiet way she cared for those around her, through simple gestures like baking cookies, writing cards, and always making sure no one was forgotten.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 4 at Grace Village, 1515 Pleasant View, Sherbrooke, QC, at 1 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. A reception will follow.
Interment will take place at the Huntingville Cemetery later this spring, once conditions allow.
