Garnet Morrison Obituary
1941 - 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Garnet, surrounded by his family, on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Grace Village, in his 85th year.
Cherished husband of the late Sandra (Dolloff) Morrison. Loving father to Heather (Nick) and Judy (Jay) and beloved Poppa to Alex, Kailee and Carter. He was predeceased by his brother Galen. Garnet leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will take place at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St., Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), on Sunday, December 28 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Garnet's memory to the following organizations would be appreciated by the family: The Alexander Galt Regional High School (please specify in the memo "Breakfast Program"), 1700 College St., Sherbrooke, QC, J1M 1Z9, or to the Grace Village, 1515 rue Pleasant View, Sherbrooke, QC, J1M 0C6 (please direct donations to "Best Use Fund"), or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Judy and Heather,
I have the greatest love and respect for your dad. It is with his help in Math that I had the marks to go to MacDonald College. I became a teacher, had a great life and always gave him credit for being able to do so. Garnet and Sandra were wonderful friends. Now they are together. We will miss them.

Mr Morrison was my math teacher in grade 10. I was a student who struggle in math but with his help I got a 90 something on my final exam. If you we willing to do the work he was willing to go the extra mile with you. Needless to say he was one of my favorite teachers and I will always remember him.

I have fond memories of Square Dancing on many nights and communities with Sandra and Garnet. I am a former teacher of Richmond Regional and we attended many meetings together. Please accept my condolences and prayers. May God bless you all.

Mr Morrison was my math teacher in Secondary V. He always made advanced math feel accessible, and was one of the teachers at Galt who made me believe in myself.
