George Matheson Obituary

George Allan MATHESON
January 3, 1941 - November 19, 2025

Early the morning of November 19, 2025, George caught the Sunrise Express to the Round House in the sky.
Son of Allan Matheson and Bertha Ham. George leaves in mourning his brother Richard (Brenda) Matheson, sister MaryLou (Rene) Weinhardt, niece Courtney Mahoney, and nephew Timothy Weinhardt.
George enjoyed a fulfilling career with Canadian Pacific Railway and carried his passion for railroading into retirement. He traveled frequently in the Eastern Townships, Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire tracking and photographing trains.
The family extends their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Wales Home for their exceptional compassion and care.
A funeral service will be held in the Spring of 2026.
