Grace Ellen Mimnaugh COX

Mrs. Grace Cox (nee Mimnaugh) passed away peacefully at the age of 91 years, with her children by her side, on May 26, 2024, at the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Sherbrooke, Quebec.  Grace was predeceased by her husband Douglas Cox in 1991. 
Left to mourn her passing are her three children Dale (Caroline Godère), Wendy (Bill Clarke), and Doreen (Sean Noel), as well as eight grandchildren Marie, David, and Evelyn Cox; Evan, Leah, and Paige Clarke; and Kirsten and Lauren Noel. 
Grace was born in 1932 in Inverness, Quebec to parents Cora and Arthur Mimnaugh.  She attended school in Inverness and graduated from A.S. Johnson High School in Thetford Mines. She subsequently obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Bishop's University, and taught school for ten years before getting married in 1963 and moving to the Cox family farm near Saint-Jean-de-Brébeuf.  Grace most recently resided at the Wales Home in Richmond. 
Visitation to take place on Saturday, June 1 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Hall, 317 Gosford Street, Inverness.  Funeral service to follow at St-Andrew's Church at 3 p.m., 1780 Dublin Street, Inverness. Interment at the Boutelle Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Boutelle Cemetery are appreciated and can be sent to 732 Route 267, St-Jean-de-Brébeuf, QC, G6G 0A1.
