Isabel Nelson Obituary

Isabel NELSON
1925 – 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing on September the 18th of our dear, devoted, and loving mother in her 100th year.
Isabel was married to her best friend and true love Archie (2007) for 60 years. She leaves to celebrate her life and memories, her son Lorne, her daughter Lynn (Keith), and her granddaughters Julie (Jaime) and Jenny (Doug) and three great-grandchildren.
Mom had many families, friends and acquaintances, and she enjoyed each and every one of you. Her life was as full as it could be, thank you for making it so special for her.
At Mom's request, a private graveside service will be held. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
We wish to thank the staff at Manoir St. Francis for all of their kindnesses to her.
We encourage donations to be made to the Greenwood Cemetery in Waterville, where she will be laid to rest with Dad and her family. Greenwood Cemetery, c/o Townshippers' Association, 3355 College St., Sherbrooke, QC, J1M 0BS.

I am so sorry to learn of your mother's passing. I met her back in the 80s at the 500 card parties in Hatley. I was only 12 at the time. Your folks were a fantastic couple. I saw your mom again recently and she hadn't really changed, except maybe her hair colour. i spoke to her and she remembered me and those card parties. Such a lovely lovely lady. Always dressed in stlye.
One less beautiful Soul on this planet. My deepest sympathies to all of you.

I am so sorry to hear of Isabel's passing. She was a very special lady and was always so kind with that beautiful smile. She and Archie often came to Foster to play cards and they were delightful. Both are certainly missed.
