Jane Curtis Obituary
Jane Augusta CURTIS (née Drew)
1933-02-15 to 2025-01-16
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our mother, Jane Augusta Curtis (née Drew), in her 92nd year. Born in Stanstead, Quebec, Jane was predeceased by her parents Courtland and Myra (Packard) Drew, and brothers Bernard and Norman.
She sadly lost her loving husband Robert in 2003. They had been married 43 years. She leaves to mourn her children Lorie and Darren (Iryna); her grandchildren Katherine (Jason), John-Michael, Andrew; great-grandsons Michael and James. They were her pride and joy. Her home had photos of her grandchildren everywhere.
She was much loved by her twelve nieces and nephews, and their children. She also leaves to mourn her brother-in-law William Curtis, and her sister-in-law Janice Fraser. Many relatives have passed, but she lovingly recounted stories of them all. Family was a blessing.
Jane was very dynamic and proudly fierce of her family and their roots. She loved education, baking, playing cards, knitting, and especially music. At age 75, she wished that she was still teaching. She would have if it was possible.
To say that a void has been created, would be an understatement. Her sense of humour and wisdom was renown. She could light up a room with her laughter, and friendliness. No one could go by the backdoor without stopping in for coffee, lunch, or both. The house was always filled with people. She represented the absolute best mother ever. She will be missed.
