1934 - 2025
In loving memory of Janice Anne Thornton (née Mandigo) who passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, at the B.M.P. Hospital in Cowansville. Janice was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec in 1934 and raised in Magog, she lived a life marked by kindness, dedication, and community spirit.
Janice is predeceased by her siblings Maxwell and Delores Mandigo. She is lovingly survived by her children Thia, Derek (Liz Murray) and Kirk Thornton, who will forever cherish her gentle strength and unwavering support.
A longtime resident of Knowlton, Janice was deeply involved in her community. She was especially active in the Knowlton Academy Ski Program, where she joyfully volunteered alongside her close friend Lucile Vaughn. Her warmth, generosity and sense of camaraderie touched many lives.
She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
A private family ceremony will follow.
