Jean Russell Obituary
1933 - 2025
With great sadness, we announce the passing of Jean Russell, at the Queensway Carleton Hospital in Ottawa on October 14, 2025, at the age of 92. She is predeceased by her husband Maurice and her brother Grant and sister Norma.
She leaves to mourn her children Garth and Shirley (Donna), grandsons Taylor (Dawn) and Travis (Toni), great-grandchildren Ava, Luca, Rayna, Kara, Zoey, Aura and Kayden, as well as sister-in-law Jacqueline Luce, many dedicated nieces and nephews, long-time friends "from back home," "downstairs family friend" Bonnie Lynn, and special grand-dog Oliver.
The interment of her cremated remains will be at the Duboyce Cemetery on Sunday, October 26 at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean's memory to the B.M.P. Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

My deepest condolences to Shirley and the family on the loss of this lovely woman I was honoured to call a friend. I met Jean though my friend, her daughter, Shirley. I felt an immediate connection to her. She reminded me of my mom. I will always cherish the time spent together, playing board games, the laughter, Christmas dinners, our phone chats. I will miss her deeply, but I will hold her in my heart.
