John McElreavy Obituary
Passed away peacefully at the Hôtel-Dieu in Sherbrooke surrounded by family on July 15th, 2018 at the age of 80. Born November 28th, 1937.
Loving father of Heather McElravy (Jeff Nelson) and Heidi McElravy (Steve Currie). Cherished Grumpa of Ashley Thomas (Nicholas Habjan) and Joshua Thomas (Amanda Bailey). Great Grumpa to Oliver Habjan and Evelyn Thomas. Devoted cousin to Barry McElravy. Predeceased by his parents, James McElreavy (Marion Nutbrown), and survived by his brother Guy McElreavy. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A special thank-you to the staff at the Wales Home (Norton 1) and Hôtel-Dieu (5th floor) for their exceptional care and kindness.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Wales Home Foundation, Foundation du CHUS, or the Alzheimer's Society of Canada would be appreciated.
There will be a graveside service at the Malvern Cemetery at a later date.

Such a quiet and gentle man. I remember watching him dig potatoes, something this city person had never seen. You can rest now John.
