Michael THOMPSON
1953 – 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Thompson of Stanstead, who passed away at the CHUS–Fleurimont Hospital in Sherbrooke on November 11, 2025, at the age of 72. Dear son of the late Edward Thompson and the late Madelaine Bessette.
Michael leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 39 years, Jane Blais, his sisters Julie (Todd Bedard) of Florida, Elizabeth of Ottawa, and Patricia (Jacques Bujold) of Magog. He was predeceased by his siblings Ronald, Peter, Rebecca, and his nephew Ronald Bedard.
He will be fondly remembered by his brothers- and sisters-in-law Daniel, Ronald, Joseph, Linda (Pret Tuthill), and Lise Prue, as well as by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
Michael was proud to have worked for Hydro-Québec for 31 years, but his greatest passion was riding his Harley-Davidson Fat Boy.
The family wishes to sincerely thank the doctors and nurses of the 3rd-floor Intensive Care Unit and the 6th-floor Palliative Care Unit for the compassionate and excellent care provided to Michael and his family.
