Roland MONGEON
1928 - 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Roland Mongeon, at the CSSS-Memphémagog, Magog, QC, on November 17, 2025, at the age of 96.
Dad was the son of the late Jean Pierre Mongeon and Vitaline Lefebvre and the loving husband of Margaret McGee for 65 years until her passing in 2015. Two sons, Richard and Lawrence, and a daughter, Marie, also proceeded him in death.
He leaves to mourn his children Christine (Mark Clément), Lorraine (Garry Polstra), Teresa (Dan Toman) and Francis. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren and their spouses, 9 great-grandchildren, and a brother Edouard, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
We are so blessed to have had him in our lives for these 96 years. He will be deeply missed.
Visitation will take place on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the Steve L. Elkas Complex, 4230 Bertrand-Fabi Street, Sherbrooke, QC, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 2 p.m. at the St-Patrice Church, 115 rue Merry Nord, Magog, QC. The burial of the ashes will be at Ste-Bibiane Cemetery, Richmond, QC, at a later date.
We, the family, would like to thank all the wonderful Doctors and Nurses at the Magog hospital who took such gentle and compassionate care of our father.
As a memorial tribute, donations to the Memphremagog Hospital Foundation (Palliative Care), 50 St-Patrice Est, Magog, QC, J1X 3X3 would be appreciated.
